 Vapor Phase System for Prototype to Low Volume Applications

 

VIPs is a programmable vapor phase soldering system for prototype and low volume applications.
With a solvent amount of only 5 kg
VIPs can solder difficult assemblies including PCB’s with large BGA’s without the risk of overheating or damaging components. The soldering system consists of a single closed processing chamber. The glass covering allows visual monitoring of the soldering process. A gate system efficiently prevents unnecessary losses of solvent. The VIPs uses a Siemens S7-control system that allows for easy programming of the soldering process. Up to 99 soldering profiles can be pre-programmed and stored. Connected to an external water supply,  VIPs does not only monitor the temperature of the vapor phase, but also that of the outer wall of the machine. (An optional closed loop water-cooling system can be integrated). Temperature monitoring systems show the current processing status. The processing chamber is made from polished steel and is easy to clean. Solvents with boiling points of up to 270°C are suitable for VIPs .

FCM 16 Recirculating Chiller for the VIPs From Streckfuss

FlowCool Mini FCM16 is an air-cooled recirculating chiller that provides a continuous supply of cooled and clean water at a constant temperature. It prevents problems commonly associated with using mains water, such as fluctuations in temperature, pressure and fouling due to lime, algae, rust, etc.. It has a plastic tank with water level indicator and interior-mounted evaporator. The filler port is on upper side of system and includes a manual drain valve. The thermostat is microprocessor controlled and has a digital display (LED) with limit monitoring.
